Website: Kendall Mountain Gallery
Kendall Mountain Gallery opened in the summer of 2011 and is just steps from the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Train Terminus/Train Stop on Notorious Blair Street in the heart of Silverton, Colorado.
One of the Kendall Mountain Gallery's main goals has been to help rejuvenate the Artist Gallery District on Blair Street. The Gallery has been instrumental in starting up Silverton's Notorious Blair Street's "First Friday's Art Walk" and organizing "Silverton Sunset Photo Walks", which will encompass the downtown Silverton Historic District.
Located in one of the oldest buildings in Silverton, one of Silverton's historic "Brothel Cribs", the Gallery's complimentary lighting and decor creates a beautiful and tranquil setting to view local and regional artwork from artists, including and featuring local photographer, Thomas Livingstone.
Kendall Mountain Gallery (surrounded by other Silverton Galleries in the 1200 block of Blair Street), is a must see while visiting Silverton.
About Artist Thomas Livingstone: Introduced to photography at an early age by his parents, Thomas has been perfecting his craft for over 35 years. Mainly using digital equipment from Nikon, he still enjoys pulling out his Wisner 4x5 film Field Camera for his Black & White limited edition work. "I try to keep and preserve my intimate connection to the darkroom process of hand printing silver gelatin prints", says Thomas.
From train photography, panoramic landscapes, hand printed Black & White, and more, Thomas' photography is a visual delight for all to see.
Kendall Mountain Gallery also offers jewelry, art supplies, photography guide books, and other interesting items.
